Note: All volunteers/coaches are required to pass a mandatory background check.

When will teams practice?
This varies from team to team. All managers and coaches are volunteers, so whatever schedule works for them is usually when teams will practice.

When will games be played?
The schedule is not set until first week of season. For most divisions, count on 2 games per week Saturdays (and possibly some Sundays) included.

Where will games and practices be held?
Majority of games & practices will be at Cherry Park. However, we do get crowded so practices could be held at other local parks.  Some travel for away games may be required.

How long is season?
Practices begin in February and season games run from March-June. All Star Play can go up until July/August.

Who must register?
All players must register, regardless of whether or not they previously played at UPTOWN. 

Is it mandatory for players to attend a evaluation?
Yes for players ages 6-12 for baseball and girls ages 6-14 for softball.

Why are there evaluations?
Please keep in mind that all registered players will be placed on a team. Evaluations are held to place players in proper playing division and create parity between teams. 

How and when are team assignments determined?
Teams are drafted by managers.  The draft will be held in late January and parents will be contacted shortly afterwards for practice.

How can I volunteer to coach?
When you register, there will be a section where you can indicate your interest. If you wish you may also list your baseball and coaching experience in the space provided. You can also click on Coaches Corner for more info.
