Board Member Requirements
Volunteer Board Members for Uptown Long Beach Youth Baseball are an important part of the youth sports program.
Youth sport programs rely on volunteers to ensure their organizations operate smoothly.
At Uptown Long Beach Youth Baseball our leadership and administration is 100% volunteer,
from our League President to the General Board Member
to the Team Managers and Coaches.
There are no paid employees and no member receives any discounts or preferential treatment
from their affiliation within the League.
The Board Members, Team Managers and Coaches volunteer because they desire to continue
the tradition of having a great place for our young athletes to play baseball.
Many of the Board Members have children that play at Uptown LBYB
and others just want to continue on the tradition of a great League.
Board Member positions are open to all members of the League.

Board Members must satisfy the following requirements
1. Have a great attitude and willingness to help
2. Attend monthly Board Meetings
3. Complete the City of Long Beach COVID-19 Protocol on-line form - Click Here
** Enter "Board Member" for coaching division if not a coach **
(If completed as a coach do NOT do this one)
4. Complete the Board Member Code of Conduct - Board Member Code Of Conduct
(This must be done even if completed the Manager/Coach Code of Conduct)
5. Complete a Background Registration AND Child Safety/Abuse on-line course - Click Here
(If completed as a coach do NOT do this one)
This is $25.50
Child Safety/Abuse Course is a 30 minute on-line course as part of Background Check
NOTE - Board Members that are Managers/Coaches
please complete ALL the requirements for a Manager/Coach
and then only complete the Board Member Code of Conduct on this page
